Our litte guy (5 years old) told us something very disturbing about his lunch room teacher at the dinner table yesterday. Really disturbing. My first instinct was to run to the corner deli, and pick up a pack of smokes, but reminded myself that this wasn't going to solve the problem. This morning I discussed the issue with his teacher as well as the principal, and necessary steps are being taken right now. To think that I handled all of this without a cigarette to handle the stress is something so amazing I can barely believe it myself. Hi Bonbons, The first few days were allright, than I had a few days where I thought I was going insane. Now, I have reached the point where, during the day, I don't miss it that much. However, the evenings are still hard. But I tend to go to bed a lot earlier these days, and it seems to help. Just keep reminding myself how awful I felt when I smoked. I would get these crazy headaches, and wake up with horrible nicotine hangovers. My goal is to buy a very good pair of running shoes as soon as I hit the 20 day mark, start running in the park every morning, and join our local running club. It just feels incredible to be able to breath again, and I can only imagine how much better it is going to be the longer I stay quit. Good luck to you as well. Am looking forward to read your posts. Forthe11thtime, Congratulations on getting over a big hurdle. That "stress out of nowhere" trips up a lot of new quitters. You handled it very well.
