Stressed and Emotional

for 18 år siden 0 9 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Having a rough day today, It helped a bit finding this website. I couldn't go to work today because I am so stressed out and emotional. I have been on wellbutrin for two weeks and my quit day was last friday. My job (Systems Analyst) is very stressful, and I am a single Mom of a wonderful 8 year Boy. I am finding it really hard today to keep myself together. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I made it through another day, I cannot believe it. Tomorrow I am heading back to work , Which is better than me staying in bed all day so I wouldnt think about smoking. Thanks for the comments this morning, it really helped a lot.

Hi TechieMom and welcome to SSC. It is a great support site! Congrats on your decision to quit. I strongly recommend you use the Quit Program Tools to the left of your screen. They are very useful in your Quit. Here are some things that helped me during the first 2 weeks of my Quit: Chew gum drink water through a straw snacking on veggies Hard candy exercising walking taking a lot of showers clean the house read on this site and post read inspirational/motivation quotes My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/12/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 32 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 975 Amount Saved: $128 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 17 Mins: 37 Seconds: 4

Hi Techiemom, I trained for A+ certification, so not quite the pro you are. However I did it for fun, I am in sales. YOU, however have a very detailed job, Cybrduke is right about taking time off to take care of yourself a little bit. Quitting is exhausting and exhiliarating at the same time, if that makes sense. It takes a lot out of you, so get plenty of rest, water and play with your son. Take good care and stay strong, You are doing great and looking wonderful with those 4 days!!!! Hi techiemom - I work on IBM iSeries systems doing what you do! I've moved more toward sales in the past few years however. I know the feelings you're having - I needed to take a little time off my job as well when I first started. te level of detail i need to look at is pretty deep and I was fearful I'd miss something and screw up big time. That didn't happen (yet) and my brain did come back to me after a bit. You'll get through this. If I recall, work helped me after the initial first few days. It gave me something to focus on instead of smoking. Good luck!
