I am sorry to read what you have been going through. Feeling helpless is not a good place to be at all. I think it would be important to talk to your family doctor about how you are feelings - your doctor will be able to rule out any possible medical causes for your anxiety and talk to you about options in terms of medication. If your anxiety is impacting your life severely then medication might be what is needed right now. Either way, it would be good for you to know the options available to you to help treat the anxiety
In the mean time continue to work on the program. Also, try to keep a journal of what you are thinking and feeling, that way you may eventually be able to identify thought patterns, behaviours or even foods that could be triggering the panic attacks.
