Bob I've found over the years that the axiom "feelings follow behavior" has been true for me. That's one reason why "having" to be upbeat etc. at work can often be helpful when I am depressed.

hello when i am forced to deal with the public, in a business sense, i have to project an upbeat sunny disposition, even though i may be screaming with anquish inside. no one wants to hear that "i am having a down day" or "i'm really tired"...when they ask "how are you?"...they mean hello. actually its a good thing to deal with people because you may be faking it, but that, i think kinda puts you in a better mood and pulls you out of your depression. just a thought, about the benefit of getting involved with people somehow. perhaps we should spend more time listening rather than talking. take care bob
