Well i am not sure what mindfulness is exactly but it sounds a lot like what i have been reading lately. It is a very good book! I wanted to know if it is ok for me to post the name of it on here or if it breaks some kind of rule... If it is ok i will post the name of it tomorrow since it is a very good spiritual guide which have components that sound a lot like mindfulness sounds like.
As for yoga.. Anyone does yoga here? And does it help?
Anyway later!
That's great! I believe this king of thinking could be well integrated into a yoga routine. I'm going to try that today during my yoga session - just accept the thought as it pops up and let it go. Do you do yoga?
Thanks for the reply tiluli, glad to hear you use mindfulness sometimes!
Theres a mindulness meditation thing that I've tried and it seems to help. It involves just sitting there for 10 mins or so and focusing on your breathing (in your abdomen). Then you just watch whatever comes into your mind from moment to moment. So if thoughts or feelings come up, you just accept them as something else that is going on at that moment, nothing more or less, and then go back to focusing on your breathing.
For me, it kinda makes the panicky thoughts and feelings that I have alot less scary. Apparently it helps get rid of horrible feelings because your not reacting to them.
Hi, :)
A few months ago I found out about a technique called 'mindfulness'.
Its basically about focusing on the present moment and accepting thoughts and feelings that you have, without judging them. It has worked pretty well for me, especially for getting rid of anxious thoughts and feelings of terror.
