lights and noise

Hi Evelyn, I know that you posted this question a while ago, but i just read it now. I don't know for a fact that this kind of reaction is neurologically related, but i would assume that it has something to do with it, due to overstimulation. Almost everyone i know with panic, anxiety, or bad nerves agrees that sudden noises, bright lights, etc cause uneasy feelings. Especially places like clubs, concerts, etc. My friends and i all pick the places we go based on crowds, and noise, and lights. (We're an anxious bunch though). Anyways, just wanted you to know that you're not alone! Beth

I'm curious about the person who wrote re: sensitity to strong lights and lots of noise---I get that overwhelming feeling, too, in certain situations involving those characteristics. Not necessarily anxiety, but a feeling of being overwhelmed, like there's too much to process---is that neurologically related--anyone know?
