I have a hard letting to bad go versus the good

I agree. 'Anything' you do to elevate yourself above this crazy panic 'thing' is worth patting yourself on the back over! Praise yourself - say to yourself "... I know if I do this certain task/activity, and get through it without the panic attack to get the best of me and complete the task/activity, I will be 'very' proud of myself, so keep moving forward..." I say those kind of postive 'self talk affirmations' to myself everyday. Keep posting... Maria

Hi, Foaped. This is wonderful that you persist in going out. What happened is that "nothing bad happened when you went out." By persisting in doing this, your brain is beginning to get the message that 'every time you go out' does not necessarily mean that it's unsafe to go outside. If you keep at it you will find it less and less scary. Remember that nothing happens overnight. This is a really good baby step, and with repetition you will begin to feel more comfortable, until such a time as outside will not be utterly scary. It is a success worth tooting about! -- Anne-Marie, Site Administrator

Hi, I have been having a hard time trying to take the accomplishment that I even walked out the door even though my legs start jittering. I take my ativan then go out. If I am going through an attack and I am going out. I have a hard time I did but, will say dang I am shaking in my legs coz I am going out. My brains work in a funny kind of way. I try to change my thing patterns to positive versus negative. I have been through a rough couple of weeks. I am blaming eveything on myself and It is not my fault that things happen and boom, I start jittering and I have attacks. I don't if anyone has gone through it. I am tired of taking the bad instead of the good. Well, anyways, thank you for listening.
