I agree that you should speak with your doctor and counsellor -- you can express your concerns about going up to 100mg to your doctor and why he/she has recommended it for you...I also take Zoloft and started off at 50mg, then to 100mg, 150mg and now am on 200 mg a day for about 4 months now...it was my psychiatrist who recommended it to me...

Obviously you need to consult with your dr and counselor. One thing I will say, if you do increase your medication, try to let your dr. have you do it slowly. You may find that you only need a little more to help you out.
My dr. originally wanted me to get to 100 mg but that was too much for me. It kind of numbed me and decreased my feelings too much. Going back down to 75 mg was perfect. It controlled my anxiety but I was still able to cry when I wanted to.
It's such a tough decision to make with the medication. Some people need that little extra medication to help; some don't.
Hi everyone just need some advice my doctor wants to up my zoloft from 50 to 100mg and my psychologist says its not the ideal thing to do because he believes i shouldnt be so reliant on meds to use the CBT dont want to rely on meds but im so anxiuos all the time i wonder if upping the meds will bring the anxiety down a notch does anyone have any advice???
