Hi Donna,
It is posssible that anxiety may be affecting your sleep in this way. If you do notice though, any of these symptoms not associated with a dream, please be sure to consult your doctor.

Hi Donna
I was at my therapist yesterday discussing my nightmares. I get them occasionally too.
Has something changed recently in your life? Illness of a relative or a friend? Something you are worrying about but have not discussed with anyone?
Its strange how the mind works, but most likely it is something that has effected you or someone you know in the recent month and that is probably the cause of the dreams.
I have never had a dream about panicking before but it sounds scary!!! I think that is it just a dream though. Maybe you should research the meaning of the dream. Some websites can tell you what a dream could mean. Good luck.
Hi all,
I am female 35 and have suffered from anxiety/panic disorder for the past 4 years. Saying that I have not had a panic attack since I can remember.
Last night I had a dream that I was in bed and started to feel all tingly and my chest was hurting feeling like I was going to have a heartattack. In my dream I was calling out to my husband who was laying next to me but he couldn't hear me. I then woke up in a panic. The dream feels so life like cause I suppose it takes place in the bed and all the surroundings are so real.
About 2 weeks back I had another similar dream where again I was in bed and my heart was pounding so hard that I was screaming and telling my husband to feel how strong my heart was beating, I then woke up and my heart was beating that fast that I thought I was gonna die. Again very real were all the surroundings.
Is this anxiety/panic related? Does anyone else have these types of dreams?
Scared & Confused
Regards
Donna
