I've browsed through "panic to power" before at the bookstore and found that it did have some good information in it. My mother also bought me the Midwest Ctr audio tape program by Lucinda Bassett (author of P. to P.), and though it is overpriced (360.00), it does contain some good advice on getting over and through panic attacks. I can't say whether or not you should buy the book, but it is worth taking a look at it. Perhaps your local library has it?

I have read most of the books mentioned. Currently I am reading the 'Feeling Good Handbook' and it is quite educating. Still, books by Claire Weekes are an absolute must for everyone suffering from anxiety/panic. Yes, the terminology is outdated but I personaly like it that way. I have 'Hope and Help for your Nerves' but apparently 'Peace fron nervous suffering' is also very good. TT

I am receiving help as far as Pschcologist, meds etc. But I am also using books. The best are From Panic to Power Don't Panic, by Reid Wilson Feeling Good and the Feeling Good Workbook by David Burns*** Mind over Mood, Change How you Feel by Changing the Way you think, Dennis Greenberger and Christine A. Padesky Calming Your Anxious Mind, Jeffrey Brantley, MD

Hi, I suffer from depression and anxiety and am trying to go the self-help route. I was on medication in 2001, but i was only on it for a month before deciding to try to go without it. i haven't been on it since. so my moods go up and down during the week. I'd like to get a few suggestions on some good books you might have read on depression and anxiety. i'm currently reading "You can Beat Depression" and "depression is a choice." I've also read "how we choose to be happy," which i found very useful. thanks! Kevin
