Hi everyone I hope you are all doing good.
I just thought I'd share this:
My mother in law is reading a book called
"The Power Of Now" & she told me something that makes a lot of sence & could apply to most of us with panic/anxiety.
THE POWER OF NOW
All we have is right now.
The past is only a memory & it is gone forever, we can't make any changes so it does no good to worry about the past.
The future is only an illusion or thought, it is not here yet & when we worry about the future we are wasting our one & only NOW. When worrying about something it is almost always the past or future. We need to ask ourselves what is wrong right now, in this minute? If everything is fine it makes no sence at all to worry.
I know that this is corny & maybe even deep, but a huge part of my problem is ANTICIPATORY anxiety so this really makes sence to me. When I'm anticipating I'm wastings my precious moments NOW worrying about the future. Nine times out of ten what I worried about for so long doesn't even happen & so much time was wasted.
I am not the best at explaining things so I hope I didn't confuse anyone. Also I have PD so believe me, I know this is easier said than done. Worrying is so much a part of this disorder but I just thought I'd share it & hope it helps someone.
