Hey Andrea. I know exactly how you are feeling. For real. I started having panic attacks in March. The first one I had i was in bed. My heart started racing, Shortness of Breath, sweating, Shaking, Nausea, and I thought I was having a Heart Attack. I am 27 years old I can' t be I told myself. My wife took me to the Emergency Room and they give me a clean bill of health. I have work the 24 holter monitor, 30 Day Event Monitor, Stress Test. They say my heart is fine. I was diagnosed with Panic Disorder without Agoraphobia in May. I also had some severe depression. After a while(Months for me) you stop thinnking about it especially after you get on meds. I have had lots of Obscessive thoughts, which I hope you don't get. Make sure to stick with your doctor and get the right meds. Talk to a Therapist. Use this site. The 12 week program seems to be real good. There are books out there too by Lucinda Bassett "From Panic to Power", "Don't Panic" R.Reid Wilson, "Triumph From Fear" Jerilyn Ross and there are many more. I am on Effexor and Ativan. I also take Seroquel at night for sleep. Keep on Keeping on. There is hope. Don't give up. You can live with this problem your really can. It is hard at first but you will make it. God Bless You in your efforts
