[b][color=Purple]Remember that happiness is a way of travel - not a destination.

I love this quote because it reminds me to focus on Now. It reminds me that Now is when I can be happy. That what matters is making the most out of every present moment to the best of my abilities. It's not always easy to do but I think is is worth trying to do :) Have a great day all :)

The best and safest thing is to keep a balance in your life, acknowledge the great powers around us and in us. If you can do that, and live that way, you are really a wise man.
-Euripides (484 BC - 406 BC)

Here is the quote i chose out of my book of quotes for today :)
Cherish all your happy moments: they make a fine cushion for old age.
-Christopher Morley (1890 - 1957)
Wow wholesale I love that one. It is also going in my quotes book :)
Ok so here are mine for today :):
Human beings, by changing the inner attitudes of their minds, can change the outer aspects of their lives.
-William James (1842 - 1910)
The greatest discovery of my generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitudes of mind.
-William James (1842 - 1910)
No man is happy who does not think himself so.
-Publilius Syrus (~100 BC), Maxims
These quotes remind me that our attitude makes a big difference on how we perceive our lives. I find this is good news because through things like thought challenging we gain a measure of control over our thoughts thus our attitudes and as such we gain control of our capacity for happiness :)
"Everybody in this life has their challenges and difficulties. That is part of our mortal test. The reason for some of these trials cannot be readily understood except on the basis of faith and hope because there is often a larger purpose which we do not always understand. Peace comes through hope."
-James E. Faust, Hope, an Anchor of the Soul, Ensign, Nov 1999, 59
I am still determined to be cheerful and happy, in whatever situation I may be; for I have also learned from experience that the greater part of our happiness or misery depends upon our dispositions, and not upon our circumstances.
-Martha Washington (1732 - 1802)
When i read this one it reminds me how great a tool thought challenging is because well don't our dispositions depend on our thoughts? ;p
