Hi everyone, I was told yesterday to stop my antibotics because of the severe side effects, I was told I would get a call back, I did not, I called back today to request another antibotic, I tolerate amoxicillian or ampicillian and they treat urinary tract infections, the nurse told me since the nurse-practioner is out of town she had to ask the Doctor, he said no I would have to come in and spend another $100.00!! Is this right, I was just there 3 days ago, when one med does not work another one can be prescribed right? I am still having symptoms of the infection, some back and lower stomach pain and frequent urination, they tell me NOT to take the Levaquin but will not call in a harmless antiobotic that I can take, this is wrong, they are taking advantage of me, I explained I just had to pay $165.00 3 days ago, they saw me took my sample they know whats wrong and all they have to do is call the pharmacy, I know that can be done, if one med does not work or side effects another can, they are aware I do not have a car, my husband works till midnight and this was out-of-pocket, I feel so taken advantage of, its not like I never went I was there 72 hours ago, My husband was right, and I hate to admit that, now the infection is not cleared and they will not call in a harmless medicine that will help me, my neighbour said she would pick it up or I could walk down, I am in tears, its all about money, the practioner I saw went on a vacation yesterday and the Doctor she works under will not call it in even through they know I need it. Is this right just to say stop taking the med and not give anything else to combat it? I am so crushed, I try so hard to obtain medical care and its so hard, if the practioner had called back yesterday like promised I would not have this problem, I paid alot of money and I am not being treated. Sorry to vent. Does anyone else thing this is unfair. I so hate my husband to be right when he said "they have all your money now you are on your own" I hope this infection clears up on its own because I am out of money and patience. Debbie.
