ka2shka Listen to what your doctor is telling you. He (or she ) is there for your well being. Get whatever you need whether it be the patch , inhaler or whatever. I stopped cold turkey and went out and bought the patch at a couple of months smoke free. I thought it better to get the patch and use it as opposed to starting up again. I didn't use it but would have if I absolutely needed it. Sometimes we just need a little help is all. breather

My doctor told me that I should get the patch (and even told me to use a spray) since I am struggling with depression, lack of energy, moodiness and so on.
I do still feel horrible, can't concentrate, tired, can't work and so on... It's affecting every aspect of my life. Doctor told me I really need the nicotine (really addicted (go figure...lol)) in order to function and then gradually weane myself of it, but it will level my brain chems.
I don't know. I have been nic free for more than 40 days and am afraid of the side effect of the patch - nic whithdrawn, nightmares, vivid dreams, stomach aches and .... But in the other hand if it can help me stay quit...
I just don't know. Please let me know your thoughts.
Thanks
