One other thing, yesterday was special because in my adult life I think I've only had about four smoke-free birthdays. I tried to time my last quit to my birthday, so that it would be a present to myself. This time I had been smoke-free for 74 days on my birthday. I feel like it was a gift. The best. Way to go, Brenda! (I'm still smoke-free.)

Thank you Everyone! It was a beautiful day. I kicked off the day by sleeping in. Started to get a little down during the afternoon about being 48, but then I realized that I'm only 48 because I've been fortunate enough to live 48 years. I wondered where the years went, but quickly realized that I had actually lived them all. This evening it was absolutely gorgeous outside. I live for this--the sky, the trees, the birds. We went to the cafe in the park and had kobe beef burgers.
