5 days now, but very hard

Beckylynn, congratulations on 5 days smoke free!  You're doing awesome!  Have coffee, but drink it in a different location.  If you used to drink regular coffee, switch to flavored coffee!  or visa versa!  Are you rewarding yourself?  Can you volunteer or do something totally different so you can start new routines without cigarettes being involved?  Just remember, this quit is all about YOU!  Keep hanging in there!

Congrats on 5 days and for pushing forward!

Change up your routine and have your coffee!

Start making lists of activities, chores, errands.  Keep yourself busy!

Use another list for relaxation techniques, just for you!

Beckylynn, you don't have to give up your coffee! I was the same way. What is very helpful is to change your routine around somewhat in the morning, have your coffee at a different place (other than where you used to smoke) or change the time, have your shower first then the coffee etc etc. Just a little change in the routine, throws the junkie for a loop and makes it way seasier for you! It works, try it! Keep it up, it gets easier every day!

You're doing great beckylynn! Be proud! Two more days of hell week! Do whatever you can think of to put off that crave and it will pass! Promise! There will come a time when you will wonder where you found all that time to waste smoking.
One foot in front of the other....
You will do this!

Beckylynn:
You don't have to give up your morning coffee.  Just change the location where you have it.  For example if you normally have coffee in the kitchen move to the livingroom or vice versa.  5 days is great you are almost through hell week.  Remember you can do this.

It's been 5 days now, but it is very hard to find something to do besides smoking.
Mornings are the worst.  I was going to try not having coffee in the morning, but just can't give that up too.
I am hanging in there, but today is a tough one.
