Awesome Idea Ballooncrew! I am a December quitter but you all have Api's Support. I was listening to Arlo Guthrie this AM, and the song "Darkest Hour" came up--- The first line, :"It's the 10th of January, and I still ain't had no sleep..." I bet that's how a lot of January quitters feel right now but it gets easier. Don't just believe me, with my paltry 38 days, look at the long timers, and they'll tell ya the same. Good luck!
My Milage:

My Quit Date: 12/6/2008
Smoke-Free Days: 39
Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,560
Amount Saved: $702.00

Hi Everyone,

Thought I would start a new thread for all of us who have quit in January 2009!

When my partner was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2007, we would frequent a very popular support group online and they had a thread for each month for people starting chemo in that month.   You could see how the flow of the thread changed from 'anxiety and panic' in the first few days and weeks and then to 'acceptance'.  It was such a great show of love and support from the people who were newly diagnosed and from those who were further along in their treatment.

So today is my second day, yesterday was ok ... am I ever feeling spacey though, I will be talking and come to a dead stop with no idea what I was going to say or what I was talking about LOL.

I kept myself busy last night until I just really wanted a cigarette and so I went to bed instead at 9pm LOL

I'm at work and probably spending more time on here than I should, however I find that reading the posts is very theraputic.

Have a great day everyone :)
Sue
