I've just had an idea. Actually I got it from reading Rock's post on this thread. Post a NO SMOKING sign in view where you're sleeping. Ideally you'll see the sign before you go to sleep and sub-consciously won't dream smoke because it isn't allowed. If anyone's bothered by smoking dreams it might be worth a try. I'm going to try it. Who knows ? , it might work !! breather 70 Addict still 0

Hi Moss  I'm doing very well thanks and hope you are as well. Just got home from the doctor's and everything's going pretty good. I liked telling him that I hadn't had a cigarette in 10 weeks and don't have to try and hide my nicotine stained fingers anymore. I wasn't fooling anybody anyway !!! Yes the mind is amazing. I had another dream the day after but mostly shrugged it off. That first one had me discomboobereated for 1/2 the day. And apparently the average person only uses a very small percentage the brain's potential. I didn't think there would be so many people that had dreams like this. Maybe the question should have been who hasn't had a dream about it ? Might be irrelevant but lately I've been thinking a lot about my first cigarette. The details of it are extremely vivid. Time , place , how I felt. Funny I hadn't even thought about it in over 40 years. Sure I looked something like this  We create our own dreams so it makes sense that our thoughts will surface as we sleep. Glad you were able to shrug it off. Amazing !!! Take care Moss. breather 70 Addict still 0

Hey Breather...........Hope today finds you well.

Since you posted this some days ago, I have been thinking about, remembering some of the dreams I had over the first few months.  It is probably why I had a dream last night.  I was at a friends and took a Marlboro Menthol from his table, went outside and lit it up and smoked the whole thing.  It was so vivid I truly thought I could smell and taste it when I woke up.  I was able to laugh at it pretty quickly, but find it amazing the mind can store those memories for so long.   These brains, minds of ours are truly fascinating.

Have a great day today!!

Moss

Those dreams can be pretty shocking at first.  But I am so grateful they are dreams.  It is waking up and trying to remember if it was a dream or real.  So if you are dreaming just let it happen, what a way to cheat .  They do go away, nothing to be to alarmed about all of us have had them.  You are doing great!!

Keep the Quit

Breather I've had a couple of those dreams.  Not that vivid though thank goodness.  Before I quit, I would wake up every morning with a horrible feeling chest and throat.  I would hate myself for smoking so much.  That would last until the chest cleared up an hour or so later and then it would be back to normal.  I always felt like the dreams, which were just before I would wake up, were tied to that feeling.

On a side note, when my babies have bad dreams at night I tell them that we must not have flipped their pillows over to the sweet dream side.  We flip it over, all better.

Flip your pillow to the sweet dream side.
AC

Hi Rock Never quite sure where you're going to pop up. Yes the mind is quite amazing. You're never quite sure what tidbit of information it's saved and for what reason. The subconscious mind is even more amazing I think. I never knew this many people had smoking dreams though. Who would have thunk it ?? And you're right , we didn't smoke today. Excellent. breather 64 Addict 0
