Thanks to all who answered
JYS, I would at least give Zoloft a try, you may not have bad results, I know allot of people who do wonderfull on it. With SSRI, you will not know how it effects you untill you try it. Please talk to your doctor befor you forgo this medication.
Hi jys,
Please be sure to let your doctor know that you do not want to take this medication. They may be able to offer you an alternative or even be able to support you without medication if that is what you want to avoid, i.e. teach you coping mechanisms.

Canadia-Mel, Cassie, Randy and Josie,
Thanks for the advice every bit helps. This site really does wonders for me and its nice to know someone will always be here for you and understands what you are going through.
Hi Teriaki,
You are describing almost exactly what I felt the entire first week and a half I was on Paxil cr. It took almost 3 weeks for me to start feeling normal again. I asked my pharmacist about this and he said it's normal for the SsRi's to increase anxiety and have increased side effects in the beggining. They do go away over time. Try to hang in there, if you dont start feeling any better after 3 weeks to back to your doctor and try a differnt one. They say you have to do guinea pig like trials to see which one will work best for you. Hope that helps.
TERIAKI,
Everyone's body chemistry is different so medication will affect differently as well. Please check with your pharmacist and doctor for dosage and side effects.
Josie
