My mom told me where mine went the other day. I was smoking with money that I didn't have. I was pulling out of the grocery money, or the bill money - paying the utilities a week late so I could smoke, or eating chicken and rice for a week so I could smoke.. you get the picture. So, it makes sense that it just got obsorbed into the fmaily budget and I never had any extra when I quit. I think this explains why people say they can't aford the patch - when it's not much more than cigarettes (in my case they would have been less than the cigs). The patch is something you buy for yourself to help yourself - cigarettes are something you buy as a necessity because you're so addicted. I guess that we're not willing to spend money on ourselves and don't look at cigarettes that way. Anyhow Phil - Congrats on all the money and life saved! You do deserve a reward... maybe even one that involves spending a little money. :) Enjoy!
