I haven't heard of Cherly or Katiescarlet. I didn't think anyone had quit on the 4th of July but me. I do have quit buddies though. I have the July quitters, JDk. Penquin and Grin. and there was another who used to pop in once in awhile. Haven't heard from her in so long I have forgotten her name. She was still quit last I did hear. Debbie - I'd be delighted to have you as a quit buddy! But I have to warn you that this is the start of a long-term relationship. In fifteen years time, I'll be a healthy, happy, smoke-free 63 year-old, and I'll have the life expectancy of the non-smoker that I truly am. Patrick will be 75, and he'll be as smoke-free as he is today. Den and Deck promised me that if I didn't, they wouldn't, and I reckon I can trust both of them to keep their word. It's one day at a time, but this is for keeps. N.O.P.E. You can go along with that sort of committment, can't you? Tresa - Patrick's right, as usual. There was no one who quit on the same day as me, but there were lots of folks in the days and weeks before me and after me who I would call my quit buddies: Lolly, Ros, Duffis, Penitent, Luna...all people who buddied up to me and helped me along. I still cherish them all and all the others who have been my buddies throughout.
