no sissies here. And you don't sound like one either! It really does get better. I am sure it seems as if the clock has stopped right now but, it is good that you are just taking it one hour at a time at this point. Soon and very soon, the clock will start moving at a normal pace. Just hang in there!
Keep swigging that ice cold water. It will really help get that poison out of your system and keep your mouth busy.I found extremely flavored things helpful. Like "burn your mouth" cinnamon gum and candies, "make your eyes water because they are so strong" mints and my all time favorite, crunchy "makes smoke come out of your ears" wasabi peas. Kept me busy and made me realize how my taste buds were improving :p
You're doing it, keep it up!!

Hello Islandgirl - When I was where you were at, I truly did not believe it could get better, or worse. But it does get better. Blue cloud is right. She made it, and so do many others. You can, too. Vent when you need to, and get your coping strategies to work.

No, this is not something for sissies! It is hard, hard, work.
I spent the first month crying. Really, every day. Sometimes I wouldn't even know why. Quitting is both mental and Physical and damn hard to do.
Stay as positive as possible, drink water (get the nicotine out of you skin) and give your body nourishment. Exercise is good for the brain.
You have days behind you. You can look forward to things getting better. On the 20th day for me, I felt relief. Still was hard but it gets better and better. We all have bad days that may or may not have to do with the addiction.
Not One Puff Ever. ((((((((hugs))))))))))

Yes, this DOES suck! I am on hour 37 (not that I am counting or anything) Last night was terrible, I was SO proud of myself all day, no cravings..then the dreaded "cigarette after dinner" sensation hit me. I was able to resist. But paced, grumped around and just felt awful! Now, today, I DO feel awful, physical symptoms seem to be kicking in, tired, tummy aches, headache, cranky....Hell Week is NOT for sissies!!
