Hard to believe I made it after 20+ years smoking, but I feel great. I can swim and bike like I am floating on air. Food tastes better, skin is less wrinkled, teeth are whiter and I don't stink!
But I have two side effects: 1) still occasionally have strange dreams (I used Chantix to quit and that is when they started). Last night I was smoking in my dreams and woke up realizing NO I DID NOT REALLY DO THAT!!! 2) gained about 5-7 lbs even though I am exercising a lot. I think this is a metabolism adjustment and may take a while to correct.
I think the whole process goes better the more you exercise so get out there and walk, bike, run, swim . . . anything to get you moving and not thinking about it. Also, it gets those endorphins going and you stay much more relaxed.
It is great to be free!
