Goofy, my buddy, I'm sorry to hear this! Maybe it is too tough to do it together. When you first told me your wife was quitting with you I was so jealous because my husband won't quit right now and I really want him to. You know, there is tension between us too, even though we are not in the same situation as you, exactly. But, I feel resentment towards my husband for continuing to smoke. And he stinks! It's hard to be around him when I can't stand the smell of him! So.....I guess what I'm saying is that there are going to be tough times either way you do it. If you quit together or at the same time....I don't know what's easier or when things will get better. But, I do know one thing. I know you can quit! Pardon me, I should say that YOU HAVE QUIT! You have amazed me, truly, with your commitment and loyalty to your quit and to yourself. Not to mention, the wonderful support you have for us here at SCC. Especially me and Sprquits, and the rest of the Octobreathers. Maybe it's not your wife's time right now and that's ok. Maybe she needs to do this on her own after you've been quit for six months or a year.....who knows? Whatever happens, I know that you will remain a non-smoker. I have faith in you Goofy. No matter what, keep your quit. And I send my best wishes for your wife as well. Good luck.
Karen.
