Thanks, Lainey... and all of you!! Yeah, 7 months... I'm still an addict, I still experience something like cravings once in a while... but it's a long, long way from the way it was not so long ago. I always said that it was like watching the hour hand on a clock. You watch, and you don't see it moving... but you look back in an hour... and sure enough, it has moved. And that's what this journey is like; it can be very tough to see the positive changes day to day... but you look back in a month, two months, 6 months... and you're overwhelmed at how much really has changed. Unhooked, you're the one lighting the way these days. :) But nothing new in that. You've done that since day one... for others, and for me. Kelly, you will be. Anyone who can achieve 42 smoke-free days can achieve a smoke-free life. It's always about today. The day I lose sight of that fact, I'll be in jeopardy.
