Doodles, do what you've been doing for the last 4 weeks. If it got you this far, it will take you the rest of the way.
The biggest thing is accepting that quitting is a process that takes ...quite a while. If you can make peace with that, live your life a day at a time... don't create false expectations or set conditions on what your willing to deal with ("I won't smoke unless...", "As long as the cravings are mostly gone at3, 3, 4, 5 months..."), insist on enjoying your life, and keep coming back here... you'll win this war. You'll have the life you want.
The transition from smoker to non-smoker requires a change in the way you see yourself and the way you interact with life... and that simply takes time. Give yourself the time you need.
We've all been where you are now. We know how tough it is at 4 weeks, and we know what it's like to wonder, "How much longer until I feel 'normal'? How much more do I have to go through before I don't have to face these cravings over and over again?" And the answer is... "as long as it takes".
But for most of us... somewhere between 100 and 200 days... and we're really starting to feel very at home in our new non-smoking realities. But that's a general average. For some people it's longer, and for some people it takes less time than that. The key is to give it just as long as is required.
All you can do is to live your life...free of cigs. In time that will seem natural.
It's much more natural for me now, but there are still times when I'll get blind-sided by a craving. Tension may bring it on, or a surprise event that challenges me emotionally. But 98% of the time.. I feel great! :)
