Doodles, everyone is right! You jus keep doing what you've been doing because it's working & if it ain't broke, don't fix it! Also, though, as wise aloha says, it's important to not get complacent & ho hum about it. You said it was "all you could do" not to place your cig order. But you didn't do it! That's a victory, my friend and you should recognize it, celebrate it & reward yourself for it! Look out for those little moments, congratulate yourself for them, & come here to tell us about them. You'll get encouragement & you might just inspire someone else! Yuo're doing great, doodles. You keep doing what you're doing & that's how you get it done! So, how'd you do that Doodles? I think it's important to focus on how you are successful for a number of reasons; 1) so you can identify what works, 2) so you can congratulate yourself and make this a positive experience. It's always nice to feel you've done something well, 3) it reminds you that you have faced down another trigger and won, so it will be easier to the next time you face that trigger, 4) it gives you an example of what strategies to use in other situations, and 5) it reinforces the knowledge that you ARE a nonsmoker now. Focus on the positive, buddy. You are doing great! -aloha My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 179 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,160 Amount Saved: $1,217.20 Life Gained: Days: 25 Hrs: 1 Mins: 6 Seconds: 21

This sink was great.. it took a while.. I feel like i am in some type of survival mode.. Not feeling crazy like the first week.. Just dazed & confused.. I stopped at my cig store today, this store is also the only place in America where they still pump your gas!!! It was all I could do not to place my cig order.. somehow I got out of there with just gas. I know what doesn't kill us will make us stronger.. Add salt and dig in! Try cutting up veggies and make snack trays with healthy food! Food is better when it is already made and no work is involved. Get out and walk around, catch some good air and breathe deep! Josie, Support Specialist

Week 4, continue as before. You learn as you go Doodles, and everyone's quit is different. So some of it you gotta play by ear, but hey you are doing, it all the way, so celebrate that! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 195 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,875 Amount Saved: $2,057.25 Life Gained: Days: 23 Hrs: 21 Mins: 51 Seconds: 14

Good morning Doodles I think you should spend your free time today rewarding yourself for how great you're doing, in preparation of your fourth week. If that means going back to bed and sleeping and reading or watching a movie, wonderful! if that means taking a friend out to lunch, awesome! If that means getting some exercise because you can breathe now, better yet!, if that means buying something for yourself with your saved cig money that you didn't think you afford before, atta girl! The point is, Doodles, you are in the midst of accomplishing something monumental, that will have far-reaching effects for you and your family, and it is important to do nice things for yourself, so that you will succeed in the long run. we are here cheering you on -aloha My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 178 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,120 Amount Saved: $1,210.40 Life Gained: Days: 24 Hrs: 22 Mins: 21 Seconds: 22

This is why I love Lamplighter :) Doodles, he is so right, do what you have been doing because it works! Weekends were hard for me too at first. We do more together since we quit though, so we are out and about, or at home watching Nascar, I love Nascar - love love love Tony Stewart. Yummy. Anyway, we have all this energy and we focus on spending it wisely now, doing fun stuff, productive stuff, like driving to the beach for the day, washing our cars (well we would if we weren't in a drought), but you get the idea. Reward yourself too, me and John go malling together, eat lunch out on the weekends, he grocery shops with me, yes the man is just wonderful :0 Do fun stuff, breathe, enjoy yourself. You are doing GREAT!!
