Katie-
I can definately understand how you feel about being alone. Before the panic attacks started in my life, I went through a whole "life stage" when I was terribly afraid of being alone. I couldn't stand to be in the house. I have never been married so I was either out with people or at home alone. I wish I knew exactly how I got over it, but one day I just woke up and thought, "If this is how it feels to have to be alone, I can handle it." and from that moment, I have been OK with it.
On another note, have you ever thought of checking your vital signs when you are having the panic attacks so you'll know for sure your not sick? This is something I have learned to do as a tool to reassure myself that its just panic, not illness.
My last thought (and you may think its corny) but do you have any pets? Pets aren't the same as having people around, but I can say anything I want to the cat and he always listens! Its nice to have another creature around.
Anyway, I hope you are doing well with being alone and I hope I was able to help!
