Hang on there bold, I went through the same thing you are going through. It does get better, the craves do fade. I'm going through the 90 day craves now, but you what..?? They're not that bad!! They get managable, and soon you'll forget about it all together, thats the day we're all trying to get too. Focus on your coping skills, distract yourself. I had a 2 week crave right about the same time in my quit that you are in. You have to fight, nothing good comes easy bold, you know that. Here is a quote I have hanging on my board here at work.."Picture yourself 30 seconds after snuffing out that quit breaking cigarette". Not a good picture huh? Just hang tough, you can do this! You gotta love the stress. You know smoking is just going to get you even more stressed so don't even go there ! It's o.k. to dream smokes, Crave smokes, think every second of the day smokes & you know the only reason you are doing this is because of ....... Stress. Perhaps you need to chill out & relax somehow. Time out or perhaps a vacation is in order or even a bit of D.I.Y. around the house. Exercise is a good stress releiver + watch the eating habits as fatty food & too much coffee & sugar can attribute. bold Sorry to hear you struggle so...You have come a long way in this, and I know it seems as if you have two forces within you, one urging you to smoke, to make everything alright in a single act...The other is taking a longer view and urging you to continue along the road of abstinance. To me that is the situation that best defines the human condition... The only question for you is which message you will hear with the most clarity. I would hope that you are hearing the latter because that is the one that offers the greatest opportunity. The former is the old short term fix that we all have opted for over the years. Sadly, that option solves nothing and in the end adds to the stress we feel...It only offers an illusion...It is a trick of the mind designed to keep you and me in a state of perpetual servitude. I think that you know that as well...Take the road of greater opportunity, even though it represents a hard slog in the short term. Hey guys is it normal for me to have day 1 like craves this far into my quit it still seems like I cant think about anything but having a smoke... But the only thing that is holding me back from going to the store and buying a pack is knowing how far i've made and how hellish it would be having to go through the first 3 days which I dont want to do, I know stress is a huge trigger for me and i've had a ton of not so good stuff come all at me work related :(. I'm even starting to dream about smoking and its driving me crazy, but i'm going to do everything i can because I really dont want to go back because I know how very hard it is to get where I am.
