Hello and still smober!

Hey everyone! I see lots and lots of new quitters here! I just returned from a 3-week trip away from home in Seattle, on my own. It was enlightening, and I can't tell you how many times I thought: If I still smoked, I'd have one right now. Nice thing about Seattle, is that there weren't many smokers, the walking and exercise were great there, and the weather was cool. It is SO much nicer and easier to travel without the "I want a cig now anxiety", as you go through airports. I can tell you which airports have smoking rooms and which do not. But I don't care anymore! When I have a crave, it isn't for cigarettes, and I still reach for the food when in those unsettled moods, but there's no way I would inhale smoke into my lungs. I've been walking about 3 miles a day, and my lungs are happier all the time. I wanted instant lung power within a month after I quit, but it didn't work that way. Six months into it, I'm really starting to feel it. YAY! Hang in there everyone, it gets easier day by day. Sometimes I can't believe I quit, because I never thought I could, and other times I can't believe I ever smoked!! Just wanted to say Hi to those familiar names, and Welcome to the new quitters, and good luck! It's well worth it!
