trying to overcome with no medication

Well, talking about teas, drinking generally reduces anxiety, weather it's tea, juice, water..etc. Nowdays I drink more than 2l of icetea a day and it works fine for me, not making the anxiety go away completely, but reducing it. Anyway, it's a normal physiological need of a body when under stress or anxiety. I belive that many of us drink more than they used to before they had the GAD. Hope this helps. endless

I find that drinking tea helps, too. I prefer chamomile, it has some natural sedative-like qualities without knocking me out. Hope that helps. :)

Hi I was never on meds. I took them once and with saying that I only ever took on pill. I really think the key is walking it really really helps me. I also drink Herbal teas. I still have attacks and there still bad but I hope I feel better. I ma just going to see how the next few weeks go on these herbs I got and go from there. I am glad to see there are people out there doing it without meds too. I don't feel so alone in trying other ways to over come this

Hi. I just joined the other day and was wondering if anyone has experienced a buzzing sensation in the head when taking meds? I take Lexapro and Lamactil and the Lex was recently upped and now I have this awful symptom. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Hi, dona Thanks for you message. It is great to hear that someone is doing it naturally too. I've seen hopeopathic doctor and was taking some remedies but unfortunatelly it did not really work for me. I am taking tibetan herbs now. We'll see.

Hey Glofish and Dona, tha't exactly what I want. It would feel deliberating not to "depend" on the meds. Unfortunately I can't tell what it feels like without meds, because I'm on seroxat 30mg a day, and xanax 0.125 a day. I just dont want to quit at the moment, especially with the seroxat since there's a posibility that the attack could strike again ( I mainly take seroxat for depression). Dona, what I would like to know is how long it took you to get off the meds (if you were taking them anyway). Thanx take care :)

Hi I don't take meds either. I just hate even thinking about taking them. I am doing it with out meds and its going ok. I even went shopping yesterday with myu friend and went to a shoe sale where there were about 150 people cramped into a shop and I didn't even worry about it. I have been getitng the bus to work. Coming to work every day again.. I ahve changed my diet. Seen a nauthropath and walking of a night time. I really think we can do it woth out drugs

Hi, That's me again. I am trying to overcome anxiety and panic with no medication. I've tried Zoloft once and it gave me a bad reaction. Besides the idea of being dependant on drugs is not appealing to me. I've never in my life had to take drugs on a regular basis. So I was wondering if anyone else is having a positive experience with no drugs? Thanks for all your support and your wonderful messages. glofish
