Unhooked,
I personally apologize if I made you feel picked on or misunderstood... and I CERTAINLY never meant for you to feel unwelcome. I can understand how you felt picked on and misunderstood... after I re-read my post to you yesterday, I realized that it was sort of harsh... basically telling you that you didn't know what you were talking about because you haven't been here that long. Well, I'm GLAD that you've never seen what I've seen around here (although the last couple days, you HAVE... and I'm sorry for my portion of that.) I would be lying if I said this sort of thing didn't ever happen around here, but unfortunately, it does. Fortunately, it doesn't happen very often though. But when you get people from different races, cultures, religions, upbringings and backgrounds all together in one place, you WILL have some ruffled feathers every once in a while. However, I'm sure that it WILL settle down eventually and will go back to being the warm, friendly welcoming place that it should be (and usually is). I wish I could say that this will be the last "flare up" that this site will ever see, but it won't. I'm not being pestimistic... just realistic. Again, when you get such a variety of people, this happens occasionally. I would like for you to show me a site that has this much activity where this never happens. That, I'm sure, is rare indeed.
As for your cravings, this is yet another trigger that you will need to get through in order to not ever crave because of it again. Each time we do something new smoke free, we crave a little bit (or a lot) because our minds haven't learned to deal with that specific situation smoke free yet. The good news is that the longer we are smoke free, the less frequent those situations are, and therefore, we crave less. So look at it this way... welcome the cravings due to new situations (like this one) because you are one experience closer to not ever craving because of it again! How awesome is that?!?!
Again, I'm so sorry if I made you feel unwelcomed or picked on. This really is a great site and you really are a wonderful part of it! I have SO enjoyed reading your posts in the last few weeks and look forward to many, many more! I do mean that from the bottom of my heart!
