Thank you for the posts. I went to the doctor's and he did an EKG, chest x-ray, and checked me over. I am fine. Yes, I am prone to panic attacks, but for some reason this didn't feel the same and wanted to see if anyone else had ever had this happen to them. I just have to work on my breathing. To iwanttobefree your post helped the most, nothing personal to anyone else here. You were right on target and I thank you for that. Thanks everyone else for the help also. Check with your MD but it sounds like a run-of-the-mill panic attack. hi beaglelvr, i had exactly the same thing happen to me i was over breathing taking in deep breaths all the time, the more i done it the more i thought i could not breath and when i thought i could not breath i panicked which resulted in a panic attack, fear, light headed ,dizzy nausa ect you will know the symptoms if you have had panic attacks. I would go to your doctors for check up to put your mind at rest i did and had a full medical and thank god nothing was wrong apart from my over breathing, it settled me down going to the doctors i have had to learn breathing exercises and learn to relax more, sometimes i still do over breath and when i know im doing this i go and do something to keep my mind occupied as i find keeping busy helps me to forget that im over breathing and im finding as each day goes by im over breathing less.I hope post helps you :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/3/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 41 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 824 Amount Saved: 209.1 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 17 Mins: 18 Seconds: 0

Hi Beaglelvr. I agree - this might be something to see the doc about. I'm no medical authority, but I'd think you're breathing would have adjusted by 3 months quit. It may be nothing, but you should get checked out to be sure. Hey Beaglelvr, First congratulations on your awesome 3 months. How long have you been dizzy? Is it all the time? I never had this problem. So I hope someone will come along that will be able to tell you something...My suggestion is maybe you should see your Dr. to see if the deep breathing is the problem. Hello, Maybe someone can help me, I hope. It has been 3months since I have quit smoking. The problem I am having is that I get really dizzy and the reason being, I am deep breathing to much cause my lungs are taking in more air then they have before. Know I have to relearn how to breath with more air in my lungs. I know this is going on, but not sure how to correct it or does it take time and will the body ajust in that time? Has anyone else had this problem????? I would really love any help or suggestions anyone has. I don't like this. Thank you very much, Laura My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/16/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 86 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,739 Amount Saved: $387 Life Gained: Days: 9 Hrs: 18 Mins: 48 Seconds: 8
