What's Going On?

It's normal. Please don't think that there's anything "wrong" with you because you're craving. Sometimes, intense cravings come out of nowhere, even for me now (but it's extremely seldom). We just have to learn to deal with them. This could also be you going through the "30 day pit" a little early. 30 days is a very common low point for many quitters, and it could be that that's what this is. Just push through and do whatever you can. Have you rewarded yourself lately for your awesome achievement? That might just do the trick to get rid of this horrible craving. Crave the Quit! Push through this tough period - it wont last long. these craves hit you out of nowhere just as soon as you get comfortable with not smoking. I ve gone through many of them and still do. As eveyone says - it will get easier Keep it up! Legend - I'm just one day ahead of you - I can relate. I too have experienced these sudden intense unexpected cravings. It's the pits. The other night I finished dinner and then felt like there was something that I urgently had to do...I then realized it was a craving to smoke...since I'm now a non-smoker, it felt really uncomfortable as that "urgent thing" wasn't an option. I distracted myself, chewed some gum, and logged on here. I wasn't "cured" of the crave, but I got through it. And, that's all we need to do right now - get through it. So, hang in there with me! Keep fighting Legend! This is normal and will pass :) Remember to take a look why this crave is so strong, did something trigger it? Prepare for it and use those coping mechanisms. Get out of the situation if necessary and take some time to relax your body and give it the break it deserves :) Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.

OK, I'm 3+ weeks into my quit, and right now I'm having the worst crave I have ever had. This makes the first few days look easy. What's going on? I'm just going to sit here and fight it until it passes and not give in not give in not give in.
