Hi, smoked1. Living with a smoker has got to add a whole new dimension to hell. You have my sincere admiration for even attempting a quit. But others here have done that successfully. You can too.
Cigs piss you off? Good start. Stay that way. If the patch, or some other NRT helps, use it. Same goes with any other method: Zyban/Wellbutrin, laser light, hypnosis, acu-anything, or standing on your head and pouring water in your nose. Whatever works for you is the right method.
Learn as much about this addiction as you can. The more you come to realize what a hideous and vile thing smoking is, the easier it becomes to part with it.
