Hi Robyn I'm sorry, however it is really ok;glad you got rid of them. Hey you went 5 hard days. Try real hard! Forget about smoking it does not help you at all. The nicodemon wants to keep you hooked; your job to ignore the demon. When you win, you win back your life and all the freedom of a non smoker. Wishing you the best

Robyn, Take this slip and learn from it! What alternative did you have in place to keep you from lighting up? What reward could you have given yourself instead of a cigarette? Revise your quit plan and keep going! Keep this slip from becoming a relapse. Danielle ______________________ The SSC Support Team

After one day I slipped, last night. My partner smokes and there are cigarettes everywhere. He's a chain smoker like I used to be. Yesterday was a real hell day. I'm a dog groomer. On Thanksgiving Eve, I had 20 dogs in the house. At about 7pm, I was at my wits end. A day of barking, howling, dogs who "went" in the cages. No hot water, I ran out. The AC quit. Hot air was pouring in from all the dryers and heaters. I picked up a cig and went outside to smoke. I didn't even feel bad about it. And, that's the scary part. In a way, I wish they would just make the darn things illegal altogether. Hi Robyn Listen I empathise with you a lot. I slipped just over a week ago and the next I was kicking myself from morning to evening the next day. It also scared me big time because I've quit in the past and slipped in the past and kept on smoking. I'm hell bent that that will not happen this time around. Cigarettes are slavery and I will not go there willingly! Forgive yourself and get back on the horse girl. I can totally sympathize. Fights with my husband (which were inevitable when I was a *****y addict in withdrawal) was always my reason for going back to smoking. To keep the equilibrium. To feel like I was sane. To feel like I was married to someone I liked. This pattern kept me a smoker for an xtra 20 years. see my story Decide that this quit is the most precious thing you own. If need be, let your relationship temporarily be in shambles. Assuming you have some love and commitment and longevity, you can get it back when your sanity returns. But dying is forever. Best wishes!! one word of advice....."get rid of the smokes" You turned to the form of dealing with crisis that you have known best....smoking. The fact that you bought them and then waited to smoke doesn't matter....the junky in you "knew" they were there and that getting you to buy them meant he had at least partial control. You let him take over when you went out and lit up. You didn't commit a crime. You are a nicotine addict. This is a tough addiction to conquer. It's a really good idea to make plans of what you are gonna do "before" you give in and buy the smokes. The plan will keep YOU in control and hopefully keep you from slipping up again. Beyond using the experience to learn from, leave it behind....your future lies in the freedom that is ahead of you....keep your focus there....just "choose" to not smoke as you go. smoking is NOT one of your options.....so destroy those cigarettes Katy My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/4/2002 Smoke-Free Days: 1780 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 71,237 Amount Saved: $10146 Life Gained: Days: 232 Hrs: 7 Mins: 5 Seconds: 42

gotta, Learn from this and avoid running away. Use breathing techniques to help calm you. You can run outside, but bring your water or chew stick and take it slow. We are always here for support and knowledge, we are ready when you are :) Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
