Hi Mo - I'm on my 3rd day of step-down. Have to admit this is the first day that I've felt abit more edgy but more cranky than seriously craving. It made me wonder if perhaps I have spent the last 27 years in withdrawal...(that edgy feeling you get at different times throughout the day) Hope your step-down goes well...Keep us posted! Moqueen i know exactly how you feel, this one was tough for me also. It won't last long and it's not as bad as day 3 right? So it does get better, once you settle into it you will feel much better, use your coping skills, reward yourself, keep busy, this too shall pass . Sending you positive vibes Sincerely Marie :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 133 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,004 Amount Saved: $532 Life Gained: Days: 17 Hrs: 15 Mins: 0 Seconds: 30

Boy can I relate! Around the 30 day mark I always have a bit of a let down...tired from the 'struggle'. Keep with the quit and reaffirm the WHY you wanted to quit in the first place! It gets better... :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/8/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 46 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,331 Amount Saved: $368 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 19 Mins: 11 Seconds: 46

When I stepped down it was like 3 days of mild physical withdraw. I took mine off so that I would not have to step down over and over again. Everyone is different though. Whatever helps you stay quit for life is what you should do. Fondly, Free Congrats on being another step closer to being nicotine free! I can relate to that stage of the quit. I really thought my husband and I would end up divorced ... SERIOUSLY. No matter what I was determined not to smoke ... yes, even if that meant divorce. And I am happy to report that I am still smoke free and still married ... and happily again ... LOL! Hang in there! Congratulations Moqueen! Some members step down just fine, others go through a short adjustment period. They get a few cravings and a drop in mood. Again, just time to get back to basics. Use the same coping strategies that got you through hell week until your body readjusts. Danielle ______________________ The SSC Support Team

Moqueen, Sounds like you've got a lot on your plate. Take the time to yourself and sneak in a reward for staying smoke free. Maybe you could even reward yourselves as a family? Might lift some moods? Remember: this situation is only temporary. Hang in there. Danielle ____________________ The SSC Support Team
