Sleeping problems

I had some sleep troubles in the beginning. It did get better. I find now that I need less sleep, and seem to sleep "better". If that makes sense. If I had trouble sleeping I would combine my patch, welbutrin and a stiff drink before bed. My dreams made prime-time TV seem dull! Linda, The first couple weeks of my quit I had sleeping problems. I was on the nicotine inhaler but wasn't on it more than a day. I think it was mental with me of knowing I had it in case I needed it. It might be the nicotine leaving your system. All I know is it looks like its unanymous about the lack of sleeping the first couple days/weeks. Hugs and hope it has gotten better for you. I have had some difficulty resting at night as well. After about four hours, I wake up and start challenging the thoughts. I have trouble breathing and it is very annoying. But I keep telling myself that it cannot last forever, and I can fight lying down too. Keep up the battle. They say it doesn't last forever. LIONSTAR.....as long as you give in and take the smoke....even a few drags.....you continue to feed the addiction. It won't give up and let you be as long as you tempt it with even those few "drags".....get rid of the smokes and take in on the chin. It's the only way to beat it Katy My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/4/2002 Smoke-Free Days: 1814 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 72,573 Amount Saved: $10339.8 Life Gained: Days: 236 Hrs: 15 Mins: 42 Seconds: 17

    Cigarettes Not Smoked

lionstar, Toss the rest of those cigarettes and jump back in there. Try relaxation techniques before bed to ease you into sleep. Make an appointment with your Doctor to assess the situation better. Smoking again will not change anything and we are here to get you through this. Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.

Linda, Great looking stats! Your body is going through a few issues right now so give it the relaxation that it needs. Take the time to do stretches and take a hot bath before bed, get to sleep early for a change and read a book. Ease into your sleep and start the day fresh :) Hope this helps Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
