Shazza,
I expierenced the depression around 2 1/2 months into my quit. At first, I knew it was part of my quit progress. However, when it wouldn't go away, and interfered with my daily activities, I knew it was a problem.
I unfortunately waited until 7 months quit to seek help. By then, I was crying excessively all day long. I slept much of the day. I wanted to just 'go away'. I even thought of leaving my family just so I could be alone.
This med helped me very quickly. I am feeling better everyday. My 'sad' thoughts are gone. I've stopped crying. I even laugh again. I am thankful that some of my friends here convinced me to go see the doc. If I hadn't, I would not be here today.
Oh, and one more thing. I did expierence one major anxiety attack in my quit. To be honest, I do not remember when I had it. But it was a huge one! I think it all related to my life, not my quit. I was very stressed and the depression was coming to a head.
Take care of yourself! Enjoy your life! Enjoy your quit!
