Thanks everyone! Once again your voices are the voices of reason! My first day smoke free on a second try. It is actually not as bad as the first one but then I only smoked for about a week when I said no more! My altering reason for starting up again was that I got laid off from my job and a co-worker took me outside and handed me a cig. I was crying and couldn't have said no, just wasn't in the right frame of mind. It was my decision to start again and now its my decision to stop again. It is much easier this time as I am home and don't have to be at work all stressful. But if I can quit in that environment then I can quit now. Right now to celebrate my first day quit I have my favorite scented candles going and I am taking a nice bubble bath tonight. For all the new quitters just because you stumble doesn't mean you have to stay down. Just pick yourself up and do it! Thanks guys! Hey guys I have gone back to smoking. But my new quit date is Nov. 1st. When I quit before I cut down and then quit so I am going to try that again. I had a life altering moment no excuse but now I have learned to cope and I have forgiven myself. Next time anything big comes up I will lean on those around me and of course all of you here. Everyone is so disappointed in me but my husband said just get back up and do it again. And that is what I am doing! I will succeed I did before that was just practice! Hi valic - A new day, a new choice, a new oppportunity for YOU to own YOUR own power, friend... Dig deep... focus on your desire to Quit... is it larger, bigger, more powerful than your desire to smoke? We're all right here... as a good friend of mine reminds me often - time to move on... Your husband is right. Learn from the failure and move on. It's what humans do. Remember how it feels to be starting over again and use it to keep your resolve starting on the 1st. People who try and try again, are the people who finally succeed. Remember that. You can do it. Good luck. to fail means an end to whatever you were attempting. It means to give up...you certainly haven't done this.....get over it..the only thinking you do of it should be the learning you get from it....then move forward. Don't look back. success is down the road in front of you, not behind you.
