Way to go Monica! I had trouble with day 8-9 myself. Gets much easier after that and after getting through it once you've had practice when it happens again. Hang tough, you're kicking ash!

Oooooooooohh man.. I'm still getting over the worse craving since I started my quit 9 days ago! UUUUUUUuuggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
I know from previous quits to never become comfortable or complacent at anytime in your quit - and believe me I always have my guard up..
HOWEVER, this one came right out of left field and it was like a kick in the stomach! *OUCH*
Did my deep breathing.. paced around, distracting myself with everything which is available to me and now.. after a solid hour (which seemed like a day!) it's starting to subside. Leaving me really tired and a little shakey but I DID NOT CAVE ! I BEAT THAT SUCKER !
And now I shall celebrate .. I did good !

Congratulations Monica, don't forget sometimes what we think is a craving is actually our body asking us for something else. For example since I quit smoking I cut back drastically on the amount of coffee i drank. They seemed to go hand in hand. So when I got a craving I always thought it was for a cigarette, but I found sometimes if i just got a cup of coffee it went away. Sometimes it was just needing to eat something since as ex smokers we aren't getting that constant burst of sugar we got as smokers. DOn't know if this helps but congratulations on 9 days.
