You are on day 2. You are in Hell Week. Hang in there Jan and be patient with yourself and your quit. Ask yourself if you are morning the loss of smoking or are you celebrating the gift of life? You may not feel like celebrating in week one, but keep that question in mind as you progress in your quit. Jan stay strong. You know what is down the road for you. You can do this. We need you here. You are my quit buddy (no pressure here ;p) If they get hungry enough they'll find something to eat. You take care of yourself for now. Tell them what is going on. Go for a walk, take a bath, find a place and scream your head off. Run naked around the house :eg: Just don't smoke. ((((hugs))) My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/16/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 2 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 25 Amount Saved: $6 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 8 Mins: 1 Seconds: 41

Hate to admit this, Jan, but I quit in June and I never accepted the fact I had gotten into a depression until last Thursday when I finally saw my doctor. I was surprised my husband didn't divorce me and my kids didn't leave. It does take time and yes, I was mourning a loss (of smoking) of the nicodemon and it does get better. There are some here that have had to take wellbutrin etc to get through it. Everyone's quit is different. You are in hell week and you WILL pull thru. WE are all here to help you. Hugs to get you through Kim My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/7/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 133 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,338 Amount Saved: $538.65 Life Gained: Days: 11 Hrs: 18 Mins: 23 Seconds: 22

Sorry I missed this one Jan. Just want to let you know we're here and I know you're in a tough spot right now, but you are also holding some others up, it's great you can lean on one another for support. One of the best things about being here is that everyone in the room "gets" where you're coming from. Hope you make the turn down the less bumpy road soon. Sending over some extra strength and good thoughts! Hey Jan, Know what you are going through and have already posted a couple times about it. I also just posted about seeing my doctor this morning before I went crazy, and he understood and we are going to try the Wellbutrin route. Don't wait, always good to go see the Doc. Freebird ~'~

Jan So for a few days everyone gets to do for themselves. Just as for a few days you get to do for yourself. I hid away in the first few days. I posted and read here, mostly reading and I read on other sites and I went swimming and I hobbled along to take care on myself whatever way I could. Know for yourself, that by quitting you are freeing yourself from addiction. You are stepping into your life. You are doing something radically different in order to create a loving intervention that will ultimately extend and add quality to your life. Stock up on soup. Give those beagles a big hug and a brisk walk and know that what you are doing will give all of them, your family more of you for longer. Getting through the first few days can be a challenge and you have done it so I know you can do it. Keep focusing on life and what a wonderful gift you are giving yourself. What you focus on grows.
