MELANCHOLY NIGHT...

Hi Kim. Hope you are feeling better today. If not, how about a small reward? Rewards don't have to be big. Even the little ones count. My favorite reward early in the quit was to take a day off from work while the kids were in school and just enjoy it doing whatever. Sleeping, watching TV, reading... whatever came to mind. Some times a down day is good for us. This journey is full of ups and downs. Don't let it get to you. You are doing great and we are really proud of you. You have been under a lot of stress, take a break. Deep breaths. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/1/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 398 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,968 Amount Saved: $1393 Life Gained: Days: 35 Hrs: 2 Mins: 44 Seconds: 9

Hi, Kim. Some quitters seem to go through a "down" period around 50 days, or so. It passes in a few days. Keep up the good quit. :) Shevie My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/23/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 436 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 8,727 Amount Saved: $1656.8 Life Gained: Days: 81 Hrs: 8 Mins: 19 Seconds: 20

At each milestone for the first year, I would feel the blahs. It really takes getting through each season and each hurdle to start to feel like yourself again. I wouldn't trade this journey for ANYTHING, but it sure woulda been nice to be shorter. Unfortunately, it isn't a quick process. But it is oh soooo worth it. Hang in there.
