Ex-slave,
You know that it's not OK to smoke... even when things are hard. Life happens whether we smoke or not. A few months ago, right around the day when I would have celebrated 1 year quit, I dislocated my shoulder, lost my job because of it, got into a car accident and my aunt died... all within 4 days! If I'd wanted an excuse to smoke, that would most certainly have been the time to do it, and there were times when I thought that a smoke might just be the perfect thing for me right then. But I know that one puff equals many, many, many more puffs and so do you. That's why this is so dangerous. You made it through your camera being stolen... you made it through your trips with your smoking ex... you made it through so much! You CAN do this! But you've got to be careful, otherwise the next time things get hard, you'll start thinking "well, I smoked last time and nothing bad happened... I got right back to my quit, so I can smoke this time." And then the cycle begins. You've GOT to make smoking not an option anymore! I'm sorry that your life blew up like that. That really sucks! But let's get back to the quit and try hard to keep this from happening again, OK?
Crave the Quit!
Pam
