elaine , I have used the patch, zyban, gum and cold turkey. I guess for me I was just trying to quit. I had someone tell me to never give up on quitting. I started May 1st and then smoked. I was comming off the patches. I found after each step down I would go trough the same withdrawal as before. This time I tried Smoke Away and it really has helped, plus it is all natural. There are some tablets you take when you have a crave, but they have some tabaco in it so I just use breath mint. Anyway it is a personal matter. I know of people who use the patches and it worked for them. Three years ago when I made my first attempt to quit my husband put them down also (cold turkey). He is still smoke free, but I have had to make several attempts. I just did not know what to expect when one quits and now I have learned the hard way what withdrawal is all about. I know the nic is gone, but I need to work on the mental. Good luck and keep coming back. You have helped me more than you know.
