it used to be said that until you had passed through a year, all the changing seasons, all the situations where you took comfort or relaxation in smoking, you would have these feelings.....maybe not exactly 'craves'....but the feeling that something was missing? When you are going to spend leisure time, get something in hand to distract you. straws? if you no longer need to have them in your mouth, they at least keep your hand busy. a pen and paper when you sit down....doodle or take notes of thoughts. and your answer is a resounding YES....this does finally pass....ole nic leaves you alone and you finally taste true freedom. hang tough....you have a great quit going and the best is yet to come I promise Katy My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/4/2002 Smoke-Free Days: 1590 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 63,612 Amount Saved: $8745 Life Gained: Days: 207 Hrs: 10 Mins: 22 Seconds: 3

Mr.Ed, Temptation/withdrawals are trying to control you. Your body is going through a change that it does not like. Therefore, if you need to stay busy to avoid the triggers then do so. Every day will be different in regards to cravings and withdrawals. Members, can you relate to this stage in your quit? Could you please assist Mr.Ed at this time. Stay Strong Ed!
